NIVEA SUN Kids Swim & Play Sun Lotion SPF 50+ provides children highly UVA/UVB protection and protects immediately against sunburn and long-term skin damage. The caring formula for children's delicate skin with Dexpanthenol supports the skin's protective barrier. The long-lasting water resistance allows children to stay in the water for longer before having to reapply - ideal for little swimmers!

Keep in mind: It is important to keep your babies and young children out of direct sunlight – no matter the SPF.

Warning:
• Apply generously before sun exposure enough to give a visible layer before rubbing in, let it dry then reapply to ensure adequate coverage and no missed areas.
• Reapply frequently especially after swimming, perspiring and toweling.
• Applying insufficient product will lower the level of protection.
• Allow to absorb completely and avoid contact with textiles and hard surfaces to prevent staining.
• Keep babies and young children out of direct sunlight.
• Wear protective clothing (hat, t-shirt, sunglasses) and use sufficient sunscreen for unprotected areas.
• Even when protected avoid over-exposure to the sun as it is a serious health threat.
• Skin compatibility dermatologically approved.

If we look at the Fitzpatrick Scale of skin-types, type 1 and 2 are fair, 3 and 4 are medium, and 5 and 6 are dark. Fair skin-types should get no more than 10 to 15 minutes of direct exposure between 10:00 and 15:00. Medium skin types should have no more than 20 to 30 minutes of exposure to sunlight. Darker skins have a natural SPF of 13-17 built in, so they can get up to 60 minutes of exposure.
